Through Avenues’ Professional Readiness Employment Program (PREP), David K. gained the skills and confidence to achieve his dream of working in the community. When a friend told him about a job opening at Culvers, he applied and got an interview.
When David shared his news with the PREP class, they dedicated time to helping him prepare. They researched Culver’s, watched company videos, and brainstormed interview questions. He practiced with mock interviews with the group and one-on-one with a staff member.
Thanks to his preparation, David walked into his interview with confidence, and walked out with a new job! He continues to build his skills and grow as an employee, proving that with support and determination, meaningful employment is within reach.
