Craft to Commerce
Jillian - "Craft to Commerce"
Jillian’s advocacy started when she approached the Case Managers, eager to sell her handmade bracelets at the Avenues Thrift Shoppe. She had been making them at the Center for Independence (CFI), gifting them to friends and staff. Jillian’s determination turned her passion into action.
She was persistent, and once given the green light, she set her own price—$3 per bracelet. Now, her creations are a Thrift Shoppe favorite, and she proudly restocks them as they sell out. As an active member of the CFI Client Council, she continues to advocate for herself and others, proving that using your voice can open doors and create new opportunities.
