Recycling Avenue was launched in 2007 by two physically challenged young adults, Greg Campone & PJ Flaherty, who wanted to work and make a difference as an organization which helps to provide job opportunities for the physically challenged.

Avenues believed in their idea and provided space to put their plan into action. Today, dozens of recycling bins are located in businesses and communities throughout Chicagoland, including Winnetka, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Buffalo Grove, and Main Township. Our service is FREE and we do all of the pick-ups.

Did You Know?

Just the chemicals in one cell phone can pollute up to 158,000 gallons of water. You can help keep the environment clean by donating items that daily fill our landfills with toxins. With your help we can make gains on the three tenets of recycling: reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Items We Accept

We accept a wide range of electronics at our drop-off locations including: cell phones, laptops, printers, inkjet cartridges, ink toners (large), MP3 players, digital cameras, GPS devices, graphic calculators, radar detectors, Apple products, small electronic handheld devices or game consoles, flat screen computer monitors (LCD), rechargeable batteries, house phones, computer chips, and hard drives.

If you would like to run a recycling campaign please contact us today! We will provide the bins, materials, and handle all pick-ups and drop-offs to make the operation as easy as possible for you.
