Avenues’ annual Gorman Golf Classic was hosted on July 27th. Severe weather across Illinois caused the golf and dinner reception to be cut short. However, despite the storm, we still raised over $150,000 in support of Avenues mission. Thank you to everyone who braved the storm with us and supported this event!

Avenues’ second annual Walking for Avenues took place on June 13th at Maine South Highschool in Park Ridge. Over 400 members of the community came together in support of Avenues, and we raised $98,000! The day featured a 2-mile route (with a shorter option available) and activities for all ages, including face painting, a bouncy obstacle course, and a fun run. The celebration wrapped up with a lively dance party that had everyone on their feet.

Masquerade Noir, our signature gala, took place on February 21, 2026, and welcomed more than 350 guests, including Avenues participants, supporters, and volunteers. The black-and-white-themed evening featured live music by the Maine South High School Jazz band, a delicious sit-down dinner, and an after party full of experiences including a mentalist, aerial dancers, a saxophonist, and of course, lots of dancing! We were thrilled to honor Jerry and Sue Feldman with the Jane and Albert Wohlers Visionary Award, and the event raised more than $620,000 to support the individuals we serve.

The theme of our 2025 Annual Dinner on October 24 was Life is a Highway, celebrating the many different journeys our clients take. We were pleased to honor long-time volunteer Holly Santelli of Ash & Willow Eco Salon and Beauty Apothecary with the William and Jean Knaack Spirit of Avenues Award.
