Journey for Hope
The Avenues Center for Independence in Wheeling welcomed cyclists participating in the cross-country cycling event Journey for Hope.
Alumni and current members of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity take part in an annual 2-month-long cross-country cycling event that spans from San Francisco to Washington, DC.
The cycling journey was inaugurated in 1987. It helps raise funds and awareness for @The Ability Experience, a non-profit that helps benefit people with disabilities and the organizations that support them. Avenues program participants spent time with the fraternity brothers, checking out their bikes and learning more about the ride.
Thank you to Avenues Suburban Partnership Board member Rick Cosgrove for helping to organize this stop on their journey.
