At the Avenues to Independence Board of Directors meeting in July, the appointments of three new directors were confirmed for three year terms, effective July 1, 2017.  Avenues is honored to welcome new board members Jerry Feldman, Andrea Goodkin, and Sara McKitrick.  With their combined talents, passion for helping others and dedication to their communities they will be a great fit in their new roles.

Jerry Feldman, incoming Board Chair, is a retired executive at MB Financial.  He has been involved with Avenues for two decades and has served as Chairman of the Development Committee and served twice on the Campaign Leadership Board.  Jerry also played an integral role in launching the Chicago Partnership Board.  Jerry, his wife Susan, also a long-time volunteer of Avenues, and their son Richard live in Park Ridge.

Andrea Goodkin, Vice-Chair, is a partner at HUB International and has served on the Chicago Partnership Board.  She would like to “give back” professionally and help Avenues thrive and grow by sharing the specific skills and experience she has gained as a human resources professional. Andrea and her husband live in Chicago.

Sara McKitrick joined Avenues in 2014 as part of the Suburban Partnership Board. She enthusiastically guides fundraising efforts, and served as Co-Chair and Chair of the Love Affair Gala in 2015 and 2016.  Sara and her husband John live in Park Ridge with their two daughters, Teagan and Claire.
