On February 19, Suburban Partnership Board member Ed Coyne showcased 40 of his artworks at Iannelli Studios in Park Ridge.  Six of his designs, including mixed media, acrylics and metal sculptures, were sold in a silent auction with the proceeds benefitting Avenues’ art program.  Although he learned photography and had a darkroom in high school, Ed always thought “art was for artists” and modestly never considered himself an artist, although the creative works on display proved otherwise.   The versatile artworks and sculptures were just a sampling of the many pieces Ed has fabricated since he learned how to weld at age 45.

Thank you to Ed and the Rotary Club of Park Ridge!  In addition to supporting Avenues’ art program, the Rotary Club of Park Ridge has been sponsoring quarterly pizza and bingo nights at Sasser Family House for several years.  It is a very popular event with our participants.
